Slakrz.com and the The Caylan Boyse Foundation will be presenting The Saturday Showcase 2007: July 28, August 4, August 25, September 8, September 15, and September 22.
The Saturday Showcase is located at Shaw Millennium Park, on 9 Ave. and 11 St. S.W. Come down and enjoy a day in the park, see some great live acts, spend some time with friends and family, and best of all it is a FREE event to do on a Saturday this Summer and Fall.
The Showcase will be presented FREE from 12pm-8pm each Saturday including 6 bands,15 minute performances and 4 ‘LIVE’ Artists per day. Each music act will range from Alternative Rock, Punk, Hip-Hop, Spoken Word, Deejay’s, New Folk, Mix-rock, and many others. There will be Live Art installations from local artists, who will also have a chance to sell and show off their Art form. We will be showcasing Comedy as well, if you like to laugh then check out the Noon Hour FunnyFest Comedy Showcase.
Slakrz.com will also be raising money for the Caylan Boyse Foundation. This foundation is in support of Spinal Cord Injuries. We will be gladly supporting them at The Saturday Showcase.
Ghettoblaster Inc., one of Calgary’s Finest Fashion Boutiques will be supporting some of Calgary’s more notable HIP-HOP groups, break-dancers, and Urban Artists on September 8, 2007 at The Saturday Showcase. These groups and individuals have put there dedication into bringing Calgary’s Urban Community to a whole other level. We expect nothing but a good time from these guys and gals.
