Growing up in Calgary, Sean has seen both sides of the track.  He grew up under government care and for years was unsure where his life would proceed. Traveling at the age of 19 to the USA, Sean covered more then 30000 miles and 40 of the American States before returning to Canada. This was a wonderful experience that Sean encountered.  Sean recalls “I met so many wonderful people and seen so many culturally expanding places that I wouldn’t be the person I am today without those experience’s”. Sean spent close to 8 months in the USA before returning to Canada and residing in the countries capital, Ottawa. After living in Ottawa Sean returned to Calgary in Fall 2004 to be a bursary recipient of the Advancing Futures Bursary funded by the Alberta Government. This opportunity gave Sean a chance to finish high school courses, realize his plan of action and continue onto his future dream of being a student of ACAD (Alberta College of Art and Design).

Over the next year Sean worked on his upgrading. At Bow Valley College. In the summer of 2005 Sean was commissioned by Urban Youth Worx to create 2-1200 sq ft landscapes in downtown Calgary, in Sean’s words “this was a great opportunity for me as an artist and helped me to dig a little deeper into what I want to do in my future”. Sean again traveled to BC in 2006 as a traveling spray-art vendor in various cities and finally decided that he was ready to apply for ACAD after he arrived back in Calgary in Winter 2006.

With commissions in 2007 and gaining more experience in murals and event, Sean became the event planner for Slakrz.com and created 6 outdoor events at Shaw Millennium Park in Calgary for the summer and fall of 2007. Showcasing over 50 bands, other stage talents and giving artists a chance to create “live art” Sean says, “this was a great experience for me to be able to expand my knowledge and promote other artists in Calgary’s community”. By the fall of 2007 Sean was finally accepted into the BFA program at the ACAD.
